1. Definitions
- “Company” refers to Equity Projects Management and Contracting Ltd
- “Client” refers to the individual or business purchasing services
- “Works” refers to all construction, building, and related services provided
- “Contract” refers to the agreement between the Company and the Client
2. Scope of Services
The Company provides construction and building services across North Wales, including but not limited to:
Home renovation, bathroom fitting, decking, roofing, plumbing, heating and boilers, commercial units, new builds, kitchen fitting, landscaping, fencing, joinery, structural work, damp proofing, property maintenance, and extensions.
All works may be carried out using qualified subcontractors.
3. Quotations and Pricing
- All quotations are based on initial inspection and the defined scope of work.
- Quotations are valid for 7 days only from the date of issue.
- Quotes are subject to change due to material cost increases, changes in scope, or unforeseen structural conditions.
- Any variation to the original scope may result in additional charges.
4. Payment Terms
- Full payment is required upon completion of the agreed works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- The Company reserves the right to charge interest on late payments and suspend work until settled.
- All materials and labour remain the responsibility of the Company until full payment is received.
5. Cancellations
- The Client may cancel the contract only before materials are purchased.
- Once materials have been purchased, cancellation may result in charges to cover incurred costs.
6. Timeframes and Delays
All timelines provided are estimates only and are not legally binding. The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by weather, material shortages, supplier delays, or factors beyond reasonable control.
7. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to provide safe access, obtain necessary permissions, ensure utilities are available, and ensure the site is clear before work begins.
8. Site Safety and Conditions
The Company reserves the right to suspend work if the site is unsafe. Responsibility for external storage of materials lies with the Client.
9. Liability
Liability is limited to the value of the contract. The Company is not liable for indirect losses or pre-existing structural defects.
10. Defects and Warranties
Workmanship guarantees are only provided if explicitly stated in writing. Materials are covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable.
11. Ownership and Materials
Ownership transfers to the Client only upon full payment. Unused materials purchased by the Client remain their property.
12. Working Hours and Availability
Standard working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Booking appointments are available 24 hours a day.
13. Photography and Marketing
The Company may take photographs of completed work for marketing purposes only with the Client’s permission.
14. Domestic Client Rights
Clients may have a 14-day cooling-off period under UK law for off-premises contracts.
15. Dispute Resolution
Both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.
16. Governing Law
This Contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
17. General
These Terms apply to both domestic and commercial clients. Any amendments must be agreed in writing.
